Hi, I'm Sarah...

Founder, maker, and mum behind Savy & Elle. Inspired by my daughters Savannah and Eliza, I create custom baby and children's accessories and nursery décor from my little garden studio.

Where did summer '25 go...

Looking back through my camera roll, I'm thankful for all the memories I've been able to create and be part of over the summer with my family. That's the reason for Savy & Elle to be able to have those experiences with my girls.

I'm not going to lie, it's been tough. Juggling my full time job along with growing Savy & Elle through the evenings as I want to spend my free time with my family. Although I wouldn't change it, and I am looking forward to coming into what I call the magic season. I can't wait to share with you what's in my mind.

Now to get things down on paper and eventually fabric.

✨ As I pack up my final order to the USA (for now), it feels so fitting that it’s a Liberty hot air balloon🎈 floating its way across the ocean. 🌍

Pressing pause on U.S. orders has been such a hard decision, but with the new tariff rules still so unclear, I know it’s the right one for now. From what I’ve learned so far, the tax may not be quite as high as I first feared. Once I understand the changes fully, I’ll be working out the most cost-effective way to reopen orders, prices might look a little different, but my goal is to keep them as fair as possible.

To all my lovely U.S. customers, thank you for supporting me 🤍 for your patience, and for staying with me while I figure this out. Your kindness means the world, and I truly hope to be shipping your heirloom pieces across the ocean again very soon.

I watched Chloe @oaktreehome create a luscious lavender wreath and I knew I wanted to try this too. Although my lavender crop wasn't anywhere near as much as I'd of liked it was still enough to make one and the gorgeous aroma coming from it is delightful. I've added a few more scented flowers from my garden along with my medium bow in a William Morris print.

🇺🇲Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all my USA customers

I'm gutted with the removal of the “de minimis” exemption for small parcels entering the US. It's going to raise the cost of international shipments meaning it's just going to be too expensive to send anything anymore.

I'm hoping this may change and keep trying to read and listen to as much on the subject as I can.

For now I'll try and get out as many orders to the US before the 29th August.

A little bit of ruffle magic ✨

I loved receiving this bespoke order from the recent market I just completed, we worked together for what colour thread would work and what the right shape and size would be.

The cushion cover is handmade in the sweetest Vintage Rose print from Rose & Hubble, finished with luxurious ruffles and hand embroidered names.

This particular one is a gift for the ladies friend, and I loved finding out that Daisy is her dog. Not all cushions have to be for a nursery, although they do make a sweet addition.

✂️Straight lines look easy... but are they really?

Surprisingly, I actually find cutting out curved edges more relaxing than straight ones.

You’d think straight lines would be easier with long snips in one direction. However I find them harder at times. I want that perfect crisp edge with no snip marks, and that’s not always easy with straight cuts.

Curved edges, though? They feel more intuitive, lots of little snips, gliding through the fabric instead of forcing the scissors. Clean, flowing, and way more relaxing for me.
